- Having a Deeper Relationship with God
- Dave Meyer: We have a moral problem in this country
- We need to learn how to be one with God.
Stop bowing down to your feelings.
Don’t miss your future because you’re stuck in a moment
Get your mind off of it. Stop thinking about it. Stop talking about it.
A church is a hospital for messed up people!
If you just say short prayers or read a devotional, that’s just a “snack.”
Can’t live on a “snack” – you need full meals – Let God’s word & Holy Spirit fill you.
Get into the God habit.
Spending time with God – let Him into every area of your life.
The deeper your relationship with God, the more afraid the devil is of you!
The more time we spend with God the more powerful we are.
Don’t work, work work, in order to bring home stuff you don’t need that’s already decaying. Drive by a junk yard and see what used to be someone’s dream.
If you feel guilty when you rest, you’re a workaholic. Work is not the only thing that has value to God.
Just being too tired can cause us serious problems. We’re not built by God to just sit around doing nothing.
Take time to go over things. Straighten out your priorities constantly.
Things are always changing in life. [Get used to it.]
And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.~Phil 1:9-11
Dear children, keep yourselves from idols.~1 John 5:21
A balance: worship, work, & play.
Don’t let the desire to be entertained take away your time with God.
If you give your children everything, they won’t know how to earn anything.
Sometimes you have to lose some friends to gain some real friends.
1 John 1:3
Fellowship, close fellowship, with the Father & the Son is the thing that is supposed to distinguish us from the rest of the world.
God is inside of us and makes our heart His home.
Live with purpose. If it’s not bearing any fruit, get rid of it.
Take some preventive action. Pray about what tempts you. Seek self-control.
God doesn’t love us because we’re good, but because He’s good.
No matter what you do, you will always be loved by a perfect God.
John 13:23, John 19:26, John 20:2, John 21:20 the disciple whom Jesus loved.
God protects us like the pupil of his eye.
You don’t have to be ashamed of an intimate, close personal relationship w/ God. You know God love you it thru your faith!
What about me? Seek God first and God will take care of you.
Go from give me to make me: from seeking his hand to seeking is face.
There’s nothing with liking stuff, but let’s not worship it.
We need to see Jesus and we see Him with the eye of faith.
Seek Him first and let Him do what is best for you!
God will meet your needs. But we don’t seek Him first.
The gift comes with the giver.
We need to seek the presence of God not the presents from God.
I can do without a lot of things, Jesus, but I cannot do without You!
Soli Deo Gloria!
