Review: Invasion (A C.H.A.O.S. Novel)

This entry is part 6 of 16 in the series Reviews

I got into BookSneeze to get free books if I blogged a review. My favorite genre is historical fiction/romances and I had read all the ones they had available so I tried “Invasion” because I enjoy a good sci-fi novel every so often. Not this one. First, I’m not a comic book fan and second, I don’t particularly care for teen fiction.

It’s the story of a young man whose parents are killed in a car accident and he slowly figures out that his grandfather is the “Phantom Flyer” who used futuristic weapons during World War II. These weapons had been brought to earth by aliens who use “portals” to travel from their planets to earth. (Gee, sounds a bit like “Stargate”.)

Except the historian in me didn’t buy the laser weapons or the flying backpack in WWII.

In all honesty, I got halfway through and gave up.

Not my cup of tea, but if you like sci-fi comic books, you might like this.
