If you thought that bullying just happened in school, you’re wrong. A good friend of mine is being bullied by her neighbors. They play tricks on her, steal from her, shoot BB’s across their fence, call her names, you name it!
She’s terrified and she is at a loss of what to do.
She prays for them, but what else can she do? She calls the police when there’s vandalism which is very often, but there’s no proof of who did it.
I suggested she take pies, cookies or cakes over to them. Kill ‘em with kindness.
Jesus tells us,
Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you…
But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. ~Luke 6:27-27 & 35-36
And in Romans 12:20:
If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.
What else can she do besides move – which will be traumatizing in itself? Please comment with suggestions and keep “What Would Jesus Do?” in mind when answering.
